  • Dad's Last Sunday at Roundlake

Sunday was a very hard day, but a very wonderful at the same time. Jason and Chuck preached a sermon honoring my dad. They talked about how my dad loves God and love people and how we all need to learn from his example. They did a fan.tast.ic job!
(Thank guys for honoring my dad in such an amazing way).

After many tearful goodbyes were said we went out to eat with Auny Shanny (my dad's cousin who is more like a sister to him) and some of her family. This was by far one of my dad's hardest goodbyes. These two have a connection not many cousins have. My prayer is that one day my kids will have a relationship with their cousins like my dad and Auny Shan have.

After lunch we headed to home to keep packing. Leslie and Grace stopped by for a little while, then Leslie went home and put Grace to bed and headed back to hang out late into the night that included a trip to Walmart. It was a MUCH needed visit!

Cael sitting on Poppy's bench. (man that makes me sad)

Cael and Hazel. We think they are 4th cousins. She is my 3rd cousins child, we really don't know what that would make them. And as usual, Cael wants nothing to do with having his picture taken with other little ones.

Grace...she is SO beautiful. Just look at that face.

Here is Leslie and her signed box. It made late night packing so much more fun! Leslie is one of my best friends from home and my life is better because she is apart of it. I LOVE HER!!!

I wish I would have taken more picture during the day at church but I just didn't feel comfortable snapping away. It was a great day and my dad walked away feeling very loved by the people at Rounlake. Thanks for a great 17 years our dear Roundlake friends!!!

  • Halloween

I'm a failuer at blogging. You know it, I know it, now lets try to move on.

Cael and I left on October 22nd and headed down to Florida. My parents moved to Arkansas so we went down to help them pack and it also gave me a chance to say goodbye to some dear friends. I am saving our flight story for another time along with pictures and stories from the 1st part of our trip. We flew into South Florida to spend a few days with Tim and Beth. I have lots to pictures to share with you, but they are all on a cd sitting someplace in their house. (Tim, this would be an appropriate time to remind you to mail me that cd!!) So, as soon as I get those I will be posting them. I also have a batch of pictures on my mom's computer that we couldn't get off. Hopefully I can help her figure out how to email them and then I can catch you all up on our 1st few days in Mt.Dora.

But for now I will start with Halloween. Last year when my sister was here we bought Cael the cutest spider costume ever. Skip forward to this year, and thanks to wind up toy spider I have, Cael is now terrified of them. He wouldn't come close to the costume and when I forced it on him one day he freaked out on me and ripped it off. (I'm amazed the kid wasn't damaged from the whole experience) So I gave up and he just wore a Gator shirt.

Cael is into trains right now so my mom took us on train ride that took us to a pumpkin patch. It was such a good time! They had animals you could pet, face painting, balloon animals, candy and everyone got to take a pumpkin home with them. He was SO serious about the train ride. I don't think he smiled one time but you could tell he loved it. Before we pulled into the train station he saw the train and started doing his Choo Choo sounds.

He wouldn't stop talking about it, until we got out and walked up to it. He didn't make a sound the entire ride to the pumpkin patch.

Mom is laughing because we could not get Cael to look at me, he would not take his eyes off the train.

    All Aboard!!!

    He proceeded very causiously!!

He was so serious...it was hilarious!

Still not sure about what's going on

    We're here!!

The pumpkin patch wasn't exactly what we expected, but it ended up being super fun!

    Cael getting his hand painted

He was so proud of it and kept showing it off to everyone!

This little horse loved Cael and Cael couldn't get enough of him.

They had the coolest balloon people there. You wouldn't believe the things they were making!

    Cael and the train conductor

Cael giving Grammy a thank you kiss for taking him on the train ride.

He was still pretty serious all the way back

Grammy even got her face painted

I am so sad this picture didn't turn out, but I had to include it anyway. This was some guys outside gym, they had all sorts of exercise equipment in there.
    Welcome to Florida!!!

Thanks for the great time Grammy! WE LOVE YOU!!

After the train ride we went straight to the Reed's house for dinner and to watch the Gator game. Every Saturday these guys get together for the game and this was the last one before the big move. Rick and Nacey are some of my parents closest friends and this was very hard goodbye!!

Cael and I left the Reed's and headed over to Emily's house to hang with Lisa and her family while the older kids went trick or treating. I failed at taking pictures while we were there. Later, I went and put Cael to bed and then headed over to Lisa's for the rest of the evening (and early into the morning). It was a great time catching up and spending some QT with the Schonaur's!!

  • Labor Day

We went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Labor Day. We had a nice cookout and some yummy homemade ice cream. Just think Dad, soon you will be close enough to join us for the ice cream!!

  • Worship Ministry Party

We were at the Worship Ministry party last weekend and the theme was Out Of The Box. Several of us were asked to be table hosts so we ended up doing a wedding party theme. One table had the wedding party at it and the other table had the wedding guests. I failed miserably at taking pictures because I was in character all night, but here are the few that I got.

Here are some of the girls.

    The Drunk Uncle

    Wedding Singer

    The Eccentric Lady

The Photographer You'd Never Want At Your Wedding

    The Wanna Be Bride

    The Redneck

    The Nun

    Mother Of The Bride

    The Old Lady

Tell me this isn't the cutest thing you have ever seen!!

Tara carried this cat around and even brushed its teeth throughout the night.

The next two pictures are horrible but I still had to include them. Cael was so cute!

We decided the Wedding Planner's job included taking all of our trash.

Our toughest competition....the Facebookites. Becky pulled off a great table as again this year.

We had a fantastic time, and trust me, you haven't seen the last of that stuffed cat!

(And yes, our table did win. I just don't want to rub it in to much!!)

  • I love this time of the year. Cool weather, sweatshirts, football, the list could go on. We had a great time last night at Pawnee's first home game. We spanked the other team so that was an added bonus.

    Cael making funny faces

Wesley does this hysterical "oh" face.

Adam said Wesley was excited about the football players, I say it was the cheerleaders.

Adam thought something was exciting, Wesley...not so much.

Cael loves to take pictures like this and then look at them. I had over 20 from last night. I love it!

This is how Cael felt about Josh all night. Sorry Josh! At least you got a "pound" by the end of the night.
